Anyone know how difficult information technology is to supercede? Or how much a Toyota would accuse for an OEM replacement? I have a 2015 DCSB and some worthless theif decided to bust out my rear side door window while I was having Christmas dinner with my wife.

Trying to determine if it's cheaper to go through ins or pay out of pocket.

    People suck sometimes.

  2. Call safeglass. Gonna exist way cheaper than OEM and you volition not know the difference. Merry Christmas.

Awesome 281.00 installed. Made an appt for Tuesday to get it done. Great proffer.

Now to find a replacement for my 2month one-time Viair compressor that was snagged.

  4. Good bargain man. Aye that's a little tougher. I forgot to lock my last Tacoma 6 or so years ago and some thief stole a bunch of stuff out of information technology only I was really non that pissed because they didn't hurt the truck. E'er stings though.

Was your replacement window tinted also? Someone just did a smash and grab on my 2011 double cab. My rear windows have the manufacturing plant tint, I'k wondering if non OEM replacements will exist tinted also.

I think all the rear windows are OE tinted, and then all the aftermarket bits should be too.

Windshields are sometimes different, and you have to specify what you currently have and/or if you want some other type.

So, only ask when yous phone call. Most of these places are franchises, and so the aforementioned answer may, or may not, apply everywhere. It's why information technology's important to speak to your local store.

I finally had time to enquiry later on I got off work. Toyota does sell the OEM glass, 1 is listed every bit green the other is listed as privacy. I'g guessing the privacy drinking glass is the tinted one. My deductible is $300, the window at my local dealership is $207 though I did see another dealership (forgot which state) selling it for $156. I don't think information technology'll exist too hard to install it myself. I'll exist visiting the dealership after piece of work for more description.

I just had my passenger rear window smashed to while at work and they didn't even take anything... this happens like an hour ago... people really are shitty
  9. I repaired vehicles that were stolen or vandalized for over 2 decades, mobile. At their work, golf course, mall, wherever. I've heard some crazy stories.

I too had a "retired" professional car thief move adjacent door to me. He had several "retired" theif friends as well. I've heard some crazy stories.

That rear (or front end) side glass will exist easily replaced.

what about the rear door drinking glass on a start gen double cab, im at min 7:29 and i deceit figure which way to plow the glass, please assistance
  12. Someboat, I managed to get my rear passenger window in. I took out the window seals and loosed up the two bolts that hold the guide within the door. I stuck the back of the drinking glass in first at a low angle so that the bottom front of the glass was about 1/8 inch just outside of the metallic frame. I cheated and took a round file to the sheet metal around the area where the glass would barely fit.

Got the window in. Fit it into the lower guides inside the door. I put some grease on the blank metallic where I filed and put the seals dorsum on and had it go up and downwards several times so I knew it was on rail and wouldn't bind.

    Hope that helps.
